Why Own a Log Woofer Tenon Machine? | Specifications & Features

The WOOFER III is a MONEYMAKER!

When the Woofer III becomes an addition to your business, productivity will greatly increase because tenons are made in seconds instead of minutes. In most cases all of the tenons being produced for handrails or banisters in a single log home can be produced by the Woofer in an average work day. The same amount of tenons produced by a carpenter using a draw knife in a traditional manner would take several days.

In log furniture construction of a normal long bed, all of the tenons can be produced by the Woofer in less than ten minutes. The tenons all fit tightly with a hand-hewn look. A craftsman, using the traditional method would take several hours to complete the same job. If making tenons is a large part of your business, a WOOFER III tenon machine would be a great asset, paying for itself in a short time in labor savings.

Many WOOFER III owners pick up side jobs cutting tenons for contractors, homeowners or competitors because of the speed, blade life, and the appearance of the tenons being produced. This makes the WOOFER III great for earning extra income. The WOOFER III is portable and can be used on job sites that have 220-volt service available.

There are two carbide blades installed in the WOOFER III which remove material with the grain of the log stock, the same way that a draw knife creates a hand-hewn appearance. The amount of tenons produced (from pine stock less than three inches in diameter) between blade sharpenings is an unbelievable 30,000, approximately. This estimate may vary with different types of wood, and type of tenon being produced.

The WOOFER III is a well-built machine constructed of solid steel. No cast or pot metal is used in the construction of the WOOFER III. Several Woofer owners have cut well over a million tenons with their WOOFER III and are still in operation. The WOOFER III will last for years, and can be rebuilt or repaired.
